About your President
My name is Laura Bentley, and I am honored to serve as your 42nd President.
I proudly call Northeast Iowa home, where I share my life with my husband, Nicholas, and our children, Dakota, Ethan, Eliza, and Ezra. Family is at the center of everything I do and serves as a daily reminder of the importance of compassion, leadership, and service to others.
Professionally, I work in human services and caregiving, supporting individuals and families while advocating for opportunities that help people thrive. My passion for helping others naturally led me to Women of Today, where I discovered an organization that shares my commitment to service, growth, and community.
Throughout my years of membership, I have had the privilege of serving in leadership positions at the local, district, state, and national levels. These experiences have strengthened my belief that our greatest strength is our membership. When people are encouraged, empowered, and supported, extraordinary things happen. My Vision for the Year
My vision for the year
This year, I invite every member to embrace three simple words:
Be A Light.
Be a light to a new member seeking connection.
Be a light to a community in need of service.
Be a light to a leader looking for encouragement.
Be a light to a friend who needs support.
Be a light that inspires others to believe in themselves.
Every project completed, every volunteer hour given, every friendship formed, and every life touched reflects the very best of who we are.
As we move forward together, let us continue building an organization where service matters, leadership grows, friendships flourish, and every member feels valued.
Thank you for your trust, your dedication, and your commitment to the United States Women of Today. I am honored to serve alongside each of you and look forward to a year filled with growth, service, friendship, and light.
Together, let us Be A Light.
With gratitude and excitement,
Laura Bentley
